‘Kayfabe the bastard’ is the public outcome of my Eramboo Artist Environment and Northern Beaches Council 2024 artist-in-residence award. This exhibition will showcase my new site-specific work. 
All are invited to a panel discussion and opening reception with music celebrating the culmination of this experimental residency.

They will share their visions for the far future, specifically the years 2060-2079, as they reflect on data from tools such as Adapt NSW. Kayfabe, a term borrowed from the world of wrestling, is the ‘willing suspension of disbelief in the moment’. This conversation will grapple with our relationship with the far future through this lens.

The Panel is crucial to Katherine's reflections on climate change and a live score for the exhibition, providing insights into Katherine's artistic material practice.

Artist Notes on the Exhibition:“Kayfabe the Bastard merges spatial scan technology, artificial generative tools, and traditional material practices to explore the distant future, climate change forecasts, relationships, and the frozen world of ‘speech acts’ or ‘words that do.’ Central to the work are the phrases “I promise” and “I forgive,” reflecting the uncertainty and ethical dilemmas of a projected future where promises may be knowingly broken. 	Collaboration between BUTCHER &#38;amp; CORREIA (visuals), Klaus Ellerhusen Holm (sound), and Martin Mosti (palate), where they delve into the realm of multi-sensory experiences.
Layers of plasticity: elements such as background music, tableware, packaging design, lighting hues, and even menu item names have been recognized as significant factors that shape our perception of taste.
"Taste of Sound" explores the possibilities of multisensory input while investigating how the activation of multiple sensory impressions simultaneously can provide new and curious personal imagery. The performance interweaves sound, flavor, and visual impressions. Through manipulation of these elements, our gestures aim to challenge your sense of flavor, unveil novel and unexpected soundscapes, and challenge conventional taste perceptions by altering the visual presentation of food. This event serves as a scaled-down preview of our comprehensive showcase scheduled for 2025.

This is a moment‘ offers new insights and knowledge about the possible and the actual, the sonic and the visual, and how they interact in the actuality of experience through a staged, inhabited sonic sensibility. The highlighting of states between the material and the immaterial provides an access point for engagement with the following themes: the semantics of representation, body language and the rules and constraints applied to the body under the watchful eye of another or simply in the company of oneself.

	On being pursued by mundane badness (2022)&#38;nbsp;

Performance installation: nine year old son’s  and artists’ footprints in Red Desert sand purchased from online pet shop in Germany,&#38;nbsp; with perspex plate. Commissioned vinyl vest with pockets: tape, scissors, and 1992 Ayres Rock Climbers Certificate, awarded to artist at nine years old, from the Northern Territory Tourist Centre.

Performed at Trondheim Open 2022 festival with ImproDans.
